Shuanglong Village

Situated in the southwest of Shuanglong Town in Huayuan County, Shuanglong Village is inhabited by the Miao people, 34 kilometers away from the county.

In recent years, the village has been accelerating the construction of a beautiful village through poverty alleviation and the opportunities provided by beautiful Xiangxi construction. It aims to build Hunan's most beautiful ethnic group village, undertaking a series of efforts to build a Miao ethnic culture and characteristic village brand.

The village has carried out improvements on infrastructure, widening roads, establishing full internet coverage, cleaning water and building a village-level activity center and medical room. Since it is located within Xiaolong Cave Scenic Area and is just 5 kilometers from Shibadong Village - the primary benefactor of targeted poverty alleviation, Shuanglong Village has constructed a parking lot, public toilets, footpaths and a pavilion to make itself more beautiful and convenient to visitors.

The village has time-honored Miao culture and many ancient folk customs, such as singing Miao songs, weaving Miao cloth and playing Miao drums. Shuanglong Village also boasts four splendid waterfalls and dramatic cliff landscapes.
 
Thanks to its rich water resources, a small power station has been built in Xiaolongdong scenic spot.

On its path to rural revitalization, Shuanglong Village is making its own efforts and incorporating its own distinctive style.
